Duration:

• 3-4 days

Contents:

• Introduction to XML technologies, DTD, XSL, XSLT
• Creation of XML data streams from the SAP system.
• Creation of XML data streams from the SAP system using XSLTs
• Usage of XSLTs in ABAP programs, CALL TRANSFORMATION 
• The ICM web client: read external XML resources with ABAP programs
• The SAP-iXML-Bibliothek: SAX und DOM implementation in the Web Application Server
• ABAP Serialization XML (aSXML)
• Call methods directly from XSLTs
• Overview: The SAP Exchange Infrastructure (XI)

Prerequisites:

• ABAP Objects - Basics
• XML knowledge ist not required.
  However, if the participants have a solid background in web development and XML, the duration of this class decreases to 2-3 days.
